We are pleased to inform you that services to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza can now be booked.
It is important to notify all our clients and wholesale operators of the reopening and that they can now book this and other services to the state of Yucatan with us.
The archaeological site of Chichén Itzá is currently blocked by local Mayan groups from the surrounding towns and cannot be visited. We are waiting for a quick solution. The conflict has been going on for many years between hundreds of local merchants for the archaeological site who are inhabitants of the surrounding towns who make a living selling handicrafts and the interest of the INAH (Archaeological Institute of Mexico) and Yucatan to protect the archaeological sites and to free them and keep them free from merchants.
Access to the Hacienda Chichén, Chichén and Villas Arqueológicas hotels have only been blocked once in recent days. As an alternative to Chichén Itzá, we recommend visiting Mayapán, the last Mayan capital of the Yucatán peninsula.
