Copper Canyon - Astro Tourism

Accompanied by the legendary Tarahumaras, travel to the Sierra Tarahumara also called Copper Canyon, while observing the beautiful starry night skies free of light pollution. The Copper Canyon is a wonderful place to observe the night sky, thanks to the total darkness and the absence of artificial lights that surround this place, the stars appear much brighter than during the day. To get there you travel on the only passenger train in Mexico: the Chepe Express crossing the incomparable Sierra Madre Occidental with the magnificent views it offers and appreciating one of the longest and deepest canyon systems in the world. Home of the Rarámuris indigenous people, who are famous for their ability to run long distances.
