Tuesday: Arrival to Los Mochis
Welcome at Los Mochis airport and transfer to the hotel in the port of Topolobampo.

Wednesday: Transfer by road from Los Mochis to the "Magic Town" of El Fuerte
After breakfast, enjoy a boat trip through the third largest natural harbor in the world: Topolobampo Bay. In addition to numerous seabirds (cormorants, magnificent frigatebirds, blue-footed boobies, terns, pelicans, flamingos, and gulls), you may also spot dolphins.
After your tour, you will be transferred to the Magical Town of El Fuerte. You will drive through one of the most fertile agricultural regions in northern Mexico.
On the way to El Fuerte, an optional stop at the Los Mochis Botanical Garden is available. The city of Los Mochis is 15 kilometers from the Pacific coast and is one of the most fertile agricultural regions in northern Mexico.
El Fuerte is located just 80 km from Los Mochis and is the oldest colonial city in Sinaloa. Founded in 1564 by Francisco de Ibarra, this emblematic Pueblo Mágico (a designation it received in 2010) captivates visitors with its Spanish architecture and perfectly preserved historic center.
During the guided walk, you’ll discover a destination where colonial elegance blends seamlessly with the living traditions of the Yoreme indigenous people . Strolling through its picturesque streets along the banks of the Fuerte River, entering the Government Palace, and crossing the French-style main plaza are the perfect start to any adventure to the Copper Canyon.
Optional tour to the village of Capomos to experience the culture of the Yoreme-Mayo indigenous people firsthand. You will learn how to prepare Mexican corn tortillas and make pottery. The “Deer Dance” and “Pascola” dances, very popular in Yoreme-Mayo celebrations, will be performed.
Legend has it that Don Diego de la Vega, better known by his nickname “El Zorro” (The Fox), was born in El Fuerte. Don’t miss the lively “Zorro” show offered to tourists at the Hotel Posada del Hidalgo.

Thursday: Train ride with the Chepe Express from El Fuerte to Bahuichivo
From 7:00 am, breakfast at the hotel restaurant with handmade corn tortillas.
At the appointed time, your driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby and will take you to the train station. The Chepe Express adventure begins today.
Shortly after El Fuerte, the train crosses the Agua Caliente Bridge, the longest on the route at 499 meters, and then passes through the longest tunnel, El Descanso. Following the Septentrión River, the train climbs through the mountains, venturing deeper into the Sierra Madre. Throughout its journey, El CHEPE crosses 86 tunnels and 39 bridges. Canyons, towering cliffs, diverse vegetation, and a series of waterfalls enrich the entire train route. The section from El Fuerte to Divisadero is the most spectacular stretch of the entire railway. Your destination today is the Bahuichivo station.
Arrival at Bahuichivo train station, welcome and transfer to the hotel in Cerocahui. Free afternoon to explore this picturesque mountain village on your own or visit the old mission.

Friday: Auto Transfer from Cerocahui to Copper Canyon
Today you will visit the impressive Urique Canyon. We will take you to Cerro del Gallego, the highest point of the canyon, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the town of Urique. In the distance, you will be able to see the Urique River, which flows into the sea at El Fuerte.
Then we’ll visit a small cave where the Tarahumara people sell handicrafts and baskets traditionally woven from pine needles. On the way back, we’ll stop at several lookout points to admire the scenery. You’ll be back at the hotel in time for lunch.
Later we continue the transfer from Cerocahui to the Copper Canyon along a partially unpaved slope, where you will appreciate Rarámuri houses or communities, surrounded by a fascinating landscape.
In the afternoon, a guided hike to visit a Tarahumara cave and appreciate various views of the Urique-Tararecua and Cobre canyon.
The rest of the day is free to observe nature, the wonderful views offered by the mountain landscape, or relax from your balcony or from the hotel terrace.
Your dinner will be served at the restaurant at 7:00 PM.

Saturday: Visit to the "Barrancas del Cobre" National Park and surroundings
We recommend checking with reception about the sunrise time so you don’t miss this wonderful experience.
After your breakfast around 9:00 hours, your guide will pick you up at the hotel reception to begin your guided excursion to “Piedra Volada” and several other glass platform viewpoints. Here are three of the largest canyons: the Urique, Copper and Tararecua canyons.
You will visit the “Copper Canyon National Park, which is located in the heart of the Sierra Tarahumara. Enjoy the majestic beauty of the landscape from the restaurant´s glass-floored terrace. Mountain bike routes are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced,

After these activities full of pure adrenaline you will be transferred back to the hotel for lunch, which is included in the program.
Free afternoon for hiking or horseback riding along the rim of the Copper Canyon. It is recommended to visit a Tarahumara cave where you can buy handmade crafts.

Sunday: Train trip from Divisadero to Creel
Today you have the morning free to enjoy the tranquility of the place, take a horse ride, or stroll around the surrounding area.
Here you will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the imposing Canyon as your journey continues to the magical town of Creel by road.
In Creel, take a stroll around the town, visiting the San Ignacio Mission and Lake Arareco. Enjoy a visit to the Valley of the Monks. On a short hike, you can discover fascinating rock formations up to 50 meters high.
Creel was founded in 1907, during the first stage of construction of the Chihuahua al Pacífico Railroad. It has grown into a small city with around 5,100 inhabitants and is the largest and most important settlement along the railway line.
We recommend taking a stroll on your own through the Magical Town of Creel and visiting the main square, the museum or the “Cristo Rey” lookout Point.

Monday: Transfer from Creel to Chihuahua with visit to the Basaseachi National Park
Here, you’ll hike to several lookout Points offering breathtaking views of Basaseachi, the second tallest waterfall in Mexico. This visit is recommended only during the rainy season (June to October). The rest of the year, we visit Namúrachi Canyon.
From several viewpoints along the hiking trails, you’ll have an unforgettable view of the waterfall. Weather permitting, you can hike to the very top.
Your journey continues with a brief optional stop at a Mennonite settlement in Cuauhtémoc. Arrival in Chihuahua in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Chihuahua city tour and departure flight
Depending on your departure flight, we suggest taking a historical tour of Chihuahua to visit the zócalo, the cathedral surrounded by several colonial buildings, and other historical sites such as the Pancho Villa Museum, dedicated to the hero of the Mexican Revolution, and a visit to the Quinta Gameros Museum.
