Friday: Arrival in Chihuahua
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the colonial city of Chihuahua. In the afternoon, a guided city tour will take you to the city hall, the main plaza, the Pancho Villa Museum and Quinta Gameros.

Saturday: Train journey with the Chepe Regional from Chihuahua to Creel
Early morning train ride to the magical village of Creel. Welcome at the train station in Creel and transfer to the hotel.
This afternoon you will meet the horse you will ride on your adventure on guided horseback riding tour to the Machogüerachi Valley, Tararecua Gorge and Ruquirazo Waterfall (4 hours)
Evening optional visit to the main plaza of Creel.

Breakfast and horseback riding trip from Creel to Rancho Choreachi
Today you will visit the Valley of Frogs and Mushrooms, the San Ignacio Mission and Lake Arareco.
In the afternoon, the horseback riding tour continues to the Valley of the Monks, where you’ll admire rock formations up to 50 meters high and a beautiful landscape. From this valley, you’ll ride to the Mesa de Recaina plateau.
From this plateau, you’ll see the San Miguel Valley in the distance, then ride to the Mirador River. Finally, you’ll arrive at the Choreachi Ranch.
Camping at Rancho Choreachi (3 meals)
Monday: Horseback riding in the area around Rancho Choreachi
Today, you’ll explore the area surrounding Rancho Choreachi. You’ll ride along the Anapitos Creek to the Conchos River. (This river crosses the state of Chihuahua to the Rio Bravo on the US border.)
From the Conchos River, you’ll continue your ride for another hour to enjoy the extraordinary scenery. During this excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Huicorachi Ranch. Here, the Tarahumara Indians still wear their traditional clothing, called “taparabos.”
The men wear simple white skirts. You ride back along the Conchos River to a Tarahumara cemetery situated in a cave. You briefly visit the site, and in the afternoon, you return to Rancho Choreachi (2100 m).

Tuesday: Horseback riding to some small waterfalls near Choreachi
Today, you’ll begin your horseback riding trip with a visit to some small waterfalls near Choreachi. From here, you’ll climb a slope up to the Basaseachi plateau. From the top, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the valley. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the settlement of Batosarachi.
Afterwards, you’ll continue your ride to the Tararecua Canyon, where you’ll begin the descent to the “Recowata” thermal spring. These springs have temperatures of 35°C year-round. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy the thermal springs with the sunset as a backdrop.

Wednesday: Horseback riding from Recowata to the Plateau El Aguaje
Today you ride from Recowata along a tableland to the ranch
Basirecota, where you will see the Cusarare canyon.
Afterwards you climb up to the settlement of Ranigochi Mountains.
Our goal today is to reach half of the entire route to Copper Canyon.
From Ranigochi you will see the Tararecua canyon in the afternoon you will reach the plateau “El Aguaje”, where the camp will be set up.

Thursday: View over 3 canyon: Tararecua - Cusarare - Basihuare
Your horseback riding excursion will begin very early tomorrow morning, as today you will experience the highlight of the entire tour. Along the route, you will be able to see three gorges: Tararecua, Cusarare, and Basihuare.
Through extraordinary and unforgettable landscapes, you will finally reach the mighty “Copper Canyon.” Here, you will also find the ancient mission “Rohuerachi” with the very best views of the Sierra Tarahumara.
You’ll have lunch on the outskirts of this Tarahumara settlement. The afternoon is free to explore the surrounding area.

Friday: Horseback ride back to Creel.

Today, the most difficult and vertigo-inducing part of the entire trip awaits: the descent from Tararecua Canyon to the bottom of the Basirecota Valley will be slow for part of the way. Unforgettable views will be the final highlight of the trip.
You’ll ride past the villages of Apachochi and Ranigochi. You’ll follow a winding, somewhat narrow road, where you’ll see the magical village of Creel in the distance. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Creel and spend the night again in a comfortable bed.

Saturday: Transfer from Creel to the Copper Canyon
After breakfast transfer directly to the Copper Canyon National Park. Visit the Balancing Rock and various viewpoints with platforms, where you will appreciate three of the largest canyons meet: the Urique, Cobre, and Tararecua Canyons.
Optional activities in the National Park are: cable car ride, zip line with 7 stations, 2,530 m long zip line, Vía Ferrata: via ferrata/high ropes course.
Optional lunch at the National Park restaurant or at the market in Divisadero (lunch not included in the program)
Afternoon horseback riding adventure in the Copper Canyon along the rim. You’ll visit a Tarahumara cave and different viewpoints overlooking the Copper Canyon (this time from a different perspective/side, where you’ve been the last few days). In the afternoon, you’ll ride back to the hotel on the rim of the Copper Canyon

Overnight in the Copper Canyon.
Sunday: Train journey with the Chepe Express from Divisadero to El Fuerte
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Divisadero train station. Today, you’ll travel one of the 10 most spectacular train routes in the world on board of the legendary and famous Chepe Express train
Welcome at the train station in El Fuerte and transfer to the hotel
The afternoon is free to explore the colonial town
Overnight in El Fuerte.
Monday: Transfer from El Fuerte to Los Mochis (departure)
Breakfast and transfer to Los Mochis Airport (2 hours) (B)
