DAY 1: September 29 - Preparation for the UTMB Ultra Trail
Arrival at Chihuahua Airport, welcome and transfer to the hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, a guided tour of Chihuahua City to visit its historical museums is suggested.
OVERNIGHT IN CHIHUAHUA
DAY 2: September 30 - Chihuahua - Creel
Today you’ll have your first contact with the Raramuri culture. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the attractions of this Magical Town, visiting its valleys and an old mission, as well as meeting the Rarámuri indigenous people and learning about their ancestral culture. After this visit, your journey continues to the heart of the Copper Canyon.
OVERNIGHT IN COPPER CANYON
DAY 3: Oct 1 - First race - Barrancas Park
On this day, you will start your first race, running along trails and cliff edges while enjoying a unique natural landscape. Meanwhile, your companions can support you or take an optional visit to the Parque Barrancas, where they can enjoy various adventure activities such as the Zip Rider, zip lines, or a via ferrata.
In the afternoon, enjoy the tranquility of this place and recharge your energy for the next day’s race.
OVERNIGHT IN COPPER CANYON
DAY 4: Oct 2 - Second race - Oteros Tour
Today you’ll participate in your second race of your choice. Meanwhile, your companion will take the optional tour to Oteros, where they can talk with a Rarámuri shaman at his ranch, hike through the valleys, visit the fertility stone, and the Mesa del Cielo viewpoint.
In the afternoon, celebrate your experiences together.
OVERNIGHT IN COPPER CANYON
DAY 5: Oct 3 - Third race - Visit to the Urique canyon
Today you will complete your great challenge by running freely alongside our Rarámuri brothers and sisters, crossing narrow paths and trails through the breathtaking Copper Canyon.
For this day, companions are encouraged to optionally visit the viewpoint at Cerro del Gallego, which offers a wonderful view of the Urique River.
In the afternoon, celebrate the closing of this ultra trail with all the participants.
OVERNIGHT IN COPPER CANYON
DAY 6: Oct 4 - Trip on the Chepe Express train
After breakfast, your long-awaited journey begins aboard the Chepe Express, taking you along the most spectacular route of the entire trip. Waterfalls, rivers, tunnels, and bridges will accompany you as you descend from over 2,400 meters above sea level to near sea level, while crossing through four diverse vegetation zones.
In the afternoon, enjoy a beautiful sunset in the colonial city of El Fuerte.
OVERNIGHT IN EL FUERTE
DAY 7: Oct 5 - Departure from Los Mochis
Your adventure through Chihuahua, the Copper Canyon and this beautiful region ends with the transfer from El Fuerte to the Los Mochis International Airport.
